As you turn the corner around the ancient old stone mill, the shimmering tranquillity of the lake captivates your senses with its unparalleled beauty. Our 7 ½ acre stream fed lake has depths to around 15 ft at the dam wall. The lake has a primarily silt bottom, more gravel and sand at the far end.
The lake is hired exclusively and can be fished by no more than 5 anglers: there are 4 double pegs. This allows ample room for each swim to command an extensive area for a comfortable and enjoyable fishing experience.
From the dam end, there is a gradual shallowing of the lake towards the top end, the average depth being around 8ft.
We have a range of specimen fish within the lake, the dominant species being Carp. There are Common, Mirror, Leather and Grass Carp to 50lb. There are also some large Tench to 8lb and Black Bask.
The Swims are located on one side of the lake, thus it feels very secluded.
The lake is primarily snag free, although there are marginal shelves for the fish to hide.
