It also suggests two routes to follow as you explore the town. One route focuses on the medieval period (the northern part) and the other on more recent history (the southern half of the town center).
Oradour-sur-Glane
Oradour-sur-Glane is a preserved memorial village that was completely destroyed by the retreating forces of the German SS on June 10, 1944, resulting in the murder of 642 of its inhabitants, with only a very few managing to escape. You will be able to walk freely around the village and visit the memorial museum.

Trains from La Souterraine station arrive at Paris Gare de Austerlitz. The first train departs at 05:28, and the last leaves Paris at 19:30. Tickets can be booked online or bought at the station.
